True Nature Dog Walking & Care

Welcome to True Nature Dog Walking & Care. By booking our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to help ensure the safety, wellbeing and protection of your dog, your home and those caring for your dog.

1. Initial Consultation & Bookings

Meet & Greet: All new clients must complete a free initial consultation before services can begin. This allows us to meet your dog, assess their suitability and discuss their routine, personality and any specific needs.
Booking Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed only once a schedule has been mutually agreed and these terms have been accepted.

2. Health, Vaccinations & Safety

Health Declarations: Owners must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, medication, injuries or physical limitations that may affect their dog's care.
Vaccinations & Treatments: All dogs must be fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea, tick and worming treatments.
Bitches in Season: We cannot walk bitches in season on group walks. Owners must notify us immediately if their dog comes into season.

3. Behaviour & Socialisation

Behaviour: Owners must provide accurate information about their dog's temperament and behaviour and fully disclose if their dog has ever shown aggression towards humans or other animals.
Service Refusal: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend services if a dog displays unsafe or aggressive behaviour that risks the safety of the walker, members of the public or other dogs.

4. Off-Lead Walks

Off-Lead Consent: Dogs will only be let off lead where the owner has provided specific written consent and the walker considers it safe and appropriate to do so in the permitted area.

5. Cancellations & Changes

Notice Period: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or amendments to bookings.
Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged at the full rate of the scheduled service.

6. Emergencies & Veterinary Care

Emergency Contact: In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every reasonable effort to contact the owner immediately.
Veterinary Authority: If the owner cannot be reached, the owner authorises True Nature Dog Walking & Care to take their dog to the nearest available veterinary surgeon where necessary.
Expenses: The owner agrees to cover veterinary fees and other necessary costs incurred in relation to emergency treatment.

7. Home Access & Keys

Key Security: If we hold keys to your property, they will be kept securely, will not be labelled with your full address and will be used strictly for accessing your dog as required for their booked care.
Property Access: The owner must ensure safe access to the property at the agreed time. If we cannot gain access due to faulty locks, security issues or other circumstances outside our control, the scheduled service will still be charged in full.

8. Transport

Where transport is provided as part of your dog's service, reasonable care will be taken to ensure dogs are transported safely and securely to and from their walking or care location.
Owners must inform us of any specific requirements, medical conditions or behavioural issues that could affect their dog while travelling.

9. Day Care & Dog Boarding

Owners must provide any food, medication and relevant care instructions required during day care or boarding.
Owners must provide full and accurate information about their dog's normal routine, health, behaviour and any specific care requirements before their stay.
Any medication must be provided with clear instructions regarding dosage and administration.
Dog boarding is provided in a home environment, with care tailored to the individual dog's routine and needs.
Dog sitting may also be available to existing clients by prior arrangement.

10. Insurance & Responsibility

Business Insurance: True Nature Dog Walking & Care carries full public liability insurance specific to dog walking and pet care.
Limitations: While we take the utmost care, True Nature Dog Walking & Care cannot be held liable for sudden illnesses, natural injuries or damage caused by a dog to the owner's property while the dog is left unattended before or after a scheduled service.
